Your Endoscopy procedure
On the day of your colonoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy procedure, please note the following:
You will be admitted for your colonoscopy procedure in Trustplus on Level 10.
If you’re arriving via the Northwick Park Hospital main entrance on level 4, please make your way down the main corridor to the main lifts (Ward block) at the back of the hospital, which will take you to Trustplus on Level 10.
If you’re arriving via the St. Marks Hospital entrance on level 3, please make your way down the corridor towards the stairs/lift and go up one level to level 4.
Once on level 4, walk down the link corridor (to Northwick Park Hospital) and at the end turn left to access the main lifts (Ward block), which will take you to Trustplus on Level 10.
Please allow extra time, as during busy periods (particularly afternoons) these lifts get very busy and you are likely to have a longer wait for the lift, and to reach the top floor (Level 10).
-
On exiting the lift, please turn left and report to the Bowel Cancer Screening receptionist within the reception area at the end of the corridor.
-
To minimise the number of people in the waiting area, we would ask that family members/friends do not accompany you into the unit. However, should you require additional support to assist with your admittance, ONE escort will be permitted to accompany you into the unit (with prior agreement).
How to Get Here
Northwick Park and St Mark’s Hospitals are situated on one site along the Watford Road in Harrow, near the Northwick Park Roundabout and next to the Play Golf Northwick Park golf club.
For full travel and visitor information, including maps and car parking information, please visit the hospital website at:-

By car
Please note that the site can be accessed via both the north entrance (nearest the roundabout), or the south entrance at the opposite end. However, to access the multi-storey car park at the front of the hospital, please use the entrance at the south. All parking areas are signposted from the hospital ring road. Remember to keep the speed limit to 10mph.
Parking is available throughout the hospital grounds. Our multi-storey car park does not have a pay by phone service, so you’ll need to pay for your parking at the ticket machines before leaving. The ticket machines for the multi-storey car park are located on the ground floor. For all other car parks, please pay once parked.
Please note that you can expect to be here for approximately 3-4hours, therefore parking charges start at £7.30* for up to five hours (price correct @ 1st April 2024 but subject to change). There are also a limited number of disabled spaces.
If you are a blue badge holder, you can park for up to six hours for free in designated bays, in the car parks.
*Note: Please double check the payment machines on arrival as this is subject to change. Please also allow plenty of time to arrive before your appointment, as spaces may be limited.
Tube and rail links
Northwick Park tube station on the Metropolitan Line is the nearest tube station to the hospital, and is approximately five minutes’ walk away. Kenton station, for Bakerloo and London Over ground services, is about a 10-15 minutes’ walk to the hospital.
Buses
Several buses stop outside the hospital including the H9, H10, H14, 186 & 223. Bus routes 186, 223, H9, H10 and H14 enter the grounds of the hospital, and route 182 and 483 stops a short distance away on Watford Road. Bus routes 114 and 183 stop on Kenton Road, about a 10-minute walk from the hospitals.
Low floor, wheelchair accessible buses run on all these routes. Please note that the H9 and H10 bus routes now terminate outside St Mark’s Hospital, making it more convenient for patients.
